Are We Prepared to Pray Effectively?

Indeed, the Lord's hand is not too short to save, and His ear is not too deaf to hear. But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have made Him hide His face from you so that He does not listen. (Isaiah 59:1–2)

If I had been aware of malice in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. (Psalm 66:18)

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23–24)

And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. (Matthew 21:22)

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. (John 15:7-8)

Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

Dear friends, if our conscience doesn't condemn us, we have confidence before God and can receive whatever we ask from Him because we keep His commands and do what is pleasing in His sight. (1 John 3:21–22)
