How to Upgrade Your Membership

First, Compare Membership Plans and decide which plan has the most potential to maximize your membership experience.

Option #1: Select Upgrade My Membership Now or Renew Your Membership Now upon initially signing into the Member Area.

Option #2: From your Dashboard, select Membership under Invoicing, Payments & History, then Securely renew your membership now, or Upgrade Your Membership.

How many people are actually connected with CBN?

This is by far the most frequently asked question. While it is our company policy never to divulge member data of this kind, hopefully the following statements will help to satisfy your curiosity.

As stated on the Matters for Prayer page under the Power Source section in the footer of our website, our goal and prayer are for the Global Expansion of CBN in the following ways:

1. Global Presence – that people from every nation would become aware of CBN's presence in their country
2. Global Membership – that people from every country and region of the world would become members of CBN
3. Global Participation – that people worldwide would participate in CBN's groups, blogs, forums and webinars
4. Global Impact – that people worldwide would be thoroughly equipped to succeed as marketplace ambassadors
5. Global Praise – that people worldwide would praise God as they experience His immeasurable favor via CBN

While we can tell you that our thousands of members currently reside in over 100 countries spanning six continents, we limit further details for the following reasons:

1. Membership numbers never tell the whole story. (Are these members active, passive, suspended, etc.?)
2. Membership numbers always require qualification. (Where do most of them reside? What country, state, etc.?)
3. Membership numbers can easily become a source of pride and boasting leading to a sense of complacency.
4. Membership numbers can create a false sense of expectations as to the potential return-on-investment.
5. Membership numbers tend to draw passive consumers & spectators rather than active contributors & participants.

Finally, CBN's wide range of connections are far greater than simply the number of it "members", being comprised of registered members, e-publication subscribers, blog readers, Facebook and Twitter followers, LinkedIn connections, and other third-party connections of various kinds.

The most valuable thing about CBN is not the quantity of our members, but the quality of our connections! Unlike most every other membership organization and business network you can join, within CBN, every contact is a warm contact and every connection is a warm connection due the high level of trust established by our membership standards!

What is the difference between CBN Chambers, Chapters, and Clusters?

National Chambers reflect the primary geo-political divisions within a given country such as states, provinces, etc. Where they exist, members may request to join one or more Chambers in order to connect, communicate, and collaborate on-line and in-person with fellow members.

Regional Chapters reflect secondary geo-political divisions within a given country such as counties, districts, precincts, etc. Where they exist, members may request to join one or more Chapters in order to connect, communicate, and collaborate on-line and in-person with fellow member.

Local Clusters are face-to-face gatherings of members initiated and facilitated by members. They are designed to create a sense of community among members where they connect with one another to build relationships of trust, communicate with one another in a variety of ways, and collaborate with one another for mutually beneficial purposes.

May I join multiple groups at one time?

EVERY Group (Regional, Industry, LinkedIn, private, etc.) must be joined individually and independently of each other.

Is CBN a for-profit or non-profit organization?

Based on numerous discussions with our General Counsel and Advisory Council, we decided to incorporate CBN as a for-profit limited liability company rather than as a non-profit organization for the following reasons:

1. We did not want the United States government dictating to us in any way how we may or may not operate this organization or how we may or may not manage its finances.

2. We did not want to compete for member support and donations with other legitimate business-focused non-profit organizations with which we may seek to partner.

3. We did not want our success or failure as a Christian organization to be based on the well-meaning financial support of members, but rather upon our proven ability as a service organization to provide valuable services for which members were willing to pay.

In short, CBN is a for-profit company, but not for profit sake.

Why are there so many membership stipulations?

It would be so much easier to have a come one, come all approach toward CBN membership if we were a purely secular organization. And it would be much easier to minimize or eliminate various standards altogether and, thereby, have a more "inclusive approach" toward membership. But where would such an approach get us? Go to Facebook and LinkedIn, and find out for yourself. If social networking organizations like these adequately empower you to connect, communicate, collaborate, and congregate with fellow Christians who are engaged in the global marketplace, so be it.

However, if connecting, communicating, collaborating, and congregating with people of similar worldviews and lifestyles matters to you, then you should be quite appreciative that membership organizations like CBN have the qualifications, standards, and pledges that we do. The question you need to ask and answer for yourself is, "What kind of people do I want to partner and collaborate with in the context of business and ministry?"

Our team has invested over a decade seeking to answer this question ourselves, and we have reached this conclusion: We want to connect, communicate, collaborate, and congregate with people whose character, competence, and commitment we can trust – and we think there are a host of Christians around the globe who want the same. Therefore, the Qualifications, Standards, and Pledges listed on this website reflect our best attempt to outline those personal, professional, and theological beliefs and values that matter most to us within a distinctly Christian business network.

Browser Security Settings

If you are using Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari (on OS X 10.9 or later): You should not have to update any of your settings, however, if you are receiving any security errors, we would recommend updating your internet browser to the most recent version that is offered.

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, 8, or 9 on Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Safari (on OS X 10.8 or earlier): These browsers do not support modern security methods. We would recommend that you download another internet browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox.

If you are using Internet Explorer 8, 9, or 10 on Windows 7 or Windows 8: These browsers do support modern security methods, however, they are disabled by default. In order to enable the settings, please follow these instructions:

From your computer's desktop:

1. Click on the "Start Menu" button.

2. In the search box, type in "Internet Options" (this may look slightly different in Windows 8, however, the steps are essentially the same).

3. This will open the "Internet Properties" window, in the upper right hand corner, click on the "Advanced" menu tab.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings menu.

5. Locate the "Use TLS 1.1" and "Use TLS 1.2" options and make sure that they are checked. The "Use SSL 2.0" and "Use SSL 3.0" can be unchecked as they are outdated security methods.

6. Click the "OK" button to save your settings.
